On August 20, 2006, Resurrection West began as the first additional campus of The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection, gathering each Sunday morning at Prairie Trail Junior High School in Olathe. In the past three years, we have invited our neighbors, grown in worship, outgrown rooms and moved from the auditorium to the multi-purpose room. We have expanded weekend and midweek programs, helping people of all ages become more deeply committed Christians. We have increased our missional engagement in our backyard, serving children and families through our partnership with Ridgeview Elementary school, praying that through our hands God would transform a community. God is clearly very much at work in Western Johnson County, and we have had the privilege of joining in on the mission, the fun and the ministry.

In October of 2009, Resurrection West took the next step in our commitment to ministry in this community by initiating a purchase process on 20 acres of land in the southwest corner of the K-7 and K-10 intersection. With this step, we continue to seek to live out our purpose to build a Christian community where non-religious and nominally religious people are becoming deeply committed Christians. Join us in praying as our congregation takes this next step.
